GB Bulldogs Cheerleading Squad 06/04/2003

The tour details have changed. We will no longer be travelling to Cyprus due to the war in Iraq. We will instead be travelling with the Bulldogs to Italy. The dates are Sept 2 - Sept 15. There will be fixtures at home before this. I am currently ironing out the creases in the requirements for the squad and confirming further details.

There will be 12 spots on the squad. I hope that many of you will consider trying out for one of these places. I am trying to confirm a venue for tryouts that will be suitable for everyone.

Please indicate your provisional interest by emailing me as soon as possible.

Competitions Update 16/01/2003

1. UKCA National Championships
UKCA have announced a new university division at this years championships on March 16. The championships are being held at the Velodrome in Manchester. Any squads interested should contact me ASAP for more details.

2. BCA National Championships
BCA have also announced their intention to have a university division this year. The championships take place July 25-28 at Loughborough. We need 3 squads to register before March for this to go ahead. Again, any squads interested should contact me ASAP.

It has taken a fair few months to try and get this all organised and approved. Both of these competitions will offer us the opportunity to compete against each other in an amazing environment. We really should make the most of this opportunity.

3. BCAFL Cheerleaders Competition
This will take place on Saturday 29 March, venue to be confirmed. All eligible squads are invited to enter. For competition rules, please get in touch.

GB Bulldogs Cheerleading Squad
This year, we are looking to put together a national cheerleading squad to support the GB Bulldogs. The squad size will be 12. We will be holding tryouts for places on the squad. Tryouts are likely to be held at the end of March. I am in the process of talking to UKCA and BCA for guidelines on tryouts. Full details will be available the first week in February.
