The All College team selections announced at the end of each year recognise the best players in the British Collegiate American Football League for that past season. The selections made are based on regular season play and are obtained from the votes of teams for their opponents best players and nomination of their own best players. The views of top Coaches in the League are taken into account to determine top awards and first and second team selections only if voting does not produce a clear selection in each position. The All College Team was introduced in the 1993-94 season. Since then the voting system and the number of awards have been developed to improve the process and to ensure that it is inclusive. The College Coach of the Year award was first made in 1988-89 by a vote of the membership of the British Football Coaches Association and endorsed by the League. This was the basis of the award until 1992-93 season when the vote was narrowed down to only Head Coaches of teams in the League. |
